The Redmond tech giant is going to revamp the PowerRename UI and bring it to the same Windows 11 design language as the PowerToys Settings.

The business is presently revamping the whole look of the website, including the addition of mica material and Segoe fluent symbols.

If this is a tool you use often, you will soon be able to appreciate it even more, since it is set to take a significant step forward in its development.

PowerRename is getting a makeover.

Niels Laute, a well-known PowerToys contributor, shared a screenshot of a new PowerRename app on Twitter.

Yes, many UI features from the Windows 11 design language are included in this new aesthetic upgrade for the tool, including rounded corners, contemporary icons, new Windows UI controls, and more.

The inclusion of text formatting capabilities is the second significant improvement brought about by this release. Users may now alter the capitalization or alignment of text when changing the names of a large number of files using PowerRename.

There’s also a built-in option to filter all of the file names in the list if necessary. Developers seem to have envisioned a more comprehensive and flexible tool.

In addition, based on user input, the Redmond-based software firm is adding a bookmarks icon to the bottom of the PowerRename tool.

When you click the above-mentioned button, a jumplist of generated bookmarks displays on the screen, displaying the PowerRename tool’s presently renamed rules and choices.

Users will be able to control these bookmarks in Settings, which will offer even more value.

PowerRename’s aesthetic refresh is still in the works, which is more than can be said for certain other power tools, such as Color Picker and PowerToys resize, which have yet to get a Fluent Design upgrade.

In the near future, all of these enhancements to the set of tools should be accessible in the Stable channel.

Microsoft also published a new experimental version of PowerToy, in case you didn’t know.

This is just the most recent app to be updated to fit the appearance and feel of the new OS, which will be released on October 5th.

Windows Insiders will have early access to upgraded apps including New Paint, Snipping Tool, Notepad, Microsoft Photos app, and Clock App, which will enable focus sessions.
